Our outdoor tents have both electricity and heating, making it the perfect place to sit “outside” in this weather! Enjoy people-watching from the corner of 18th and Irving all from the comfort of Pete’s - with a warm winter cocktail in hand, of course.

MORE TO COME

As we enter the second volume of News from the Tavern, we are so excited to share with you all of our exciting plans for Pete’s in 2024, our 160th anniversary year.

Stay tuned!

1864 Project

We’ve been coming to Pete’s around the holidays every year since 2010. Our group graduated from the College of the Holy Cross and so many of us had just moved to the city.

One of the founding members of “Petesmas” had a particularly rough evening and the next morning, without a wallet, stumbled across Pete’s. He called us and told us to meet him at Pete’s, not only so we could pay for his lunch, but to see what an amazing spot it was. We decided to come back a few weeks from that first brunch to have an annual holiday get together because we loved Pete’s so much!

It was suggested that first year, very last minute, that the brunch also include a Yankee Swap. The gifts have gotten more and more hysterical over time – one year a live goldfish was gifted. We’ve also incorporated goody bags, personalized matchbooks, t-shirts and even framed sketches of Pete’s Tavern that proudly hang in many of our homes!

We all attended Holy Cross and originally the only people invited had to be HC alumni. As time has gone on, we’ve allowed for spouses to join in on the merriment! Our group continues to grow and we are on our 11th year!
